Front Porch Watching
Obviously, I'm new to the indie web (this is only my third blog post), but I've already really enjoyed scrolling around the Discover page and finding out what other people are writing about. I don't know why I'm surprised at the amount of poetry on here. A lot of tech bloggers, but that's sorted to be expected. Setting up the site requires at least a little bit of technology and in this whole blog thing in 2025 is a little out of the way for most people. Some people are just updating our projects, which is really sweet. I can't wait to check back in and look at their progress later.
Also, I think I'm on the younger side of people? I'm only 22 and I seem to be in the minority (unless I've just looked in the wrong places). I’ve really only explored places like neo-cities before and that site seems to be overwhelmingly young (15-30 range). Maybe I'll find some other young people out there! Until then, I'm just fine hearing how someone's framing project is going or what it's like babysitting their daughter's cat. Either way, I've really enjoyed snooping on everyone lol. Who knew a place like this existed?
